Colegio Ausias March was founded in 1973. Four partners bought a huge site in a suburban area near Valencia ( Tancat de L’Alter S/N, Picassent) to design an ambitious project: to create a private school in which all levels could be taught. Thirty three years later, in 2006, the school was sold.
Nowadays, Colegio Ausias March is a private, a family-owned independent Spanish school outside the state direct-grant system. The school provides a quality education at all levels from infant school starting at age three, and finishing at the pre-university years of Baccalaureate at 18 years of age.

The school premises are located on two separate sites: a European centre in the heart of Valencia with special facilities for senior students interested in intensive courses, and the main school buildings located in Picassent, in the suburban area of Tancat de L’alter for Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate.
The whole school falls within the category of a medium-sized educational centre with 830 pupils registered at the present time, thus reaping the advantages of not being affected by the problems of size seen in larger schools nor by the lack of specific facilities for the younger pupils found in smaller ones.
