Information and Computer Technology is not only a basic tool for instruction and work at present and for the future of our pupils, it is also an essential means of communication and access to information. It is an effective element in teaching and a powerful methodological tool and provides an invaluable instrument for the pupils’ intellectual development, enabling them to learn to create their own programmes, with the benefits of acquiring the skills of structural organisation, rigour and clarity.  IT is used at all the basic levels as a methodological tool in different subjects and  it is  offered as a subject in some Secondary years with a programme of studies that guarantees that our students have a thorough working knowledge of specific programmes.

As a pioneer in the Valencian community, in the exploration of the use of ICT to support education, the school now is becoming a leader in ICT facilities: from Infants 2 onwards, some of our classrooms have interactive whiteboards connected to internet, and the school boasts two computer labs,  with a broad range of educational software. The  library is also equipped with computers for pupils’ use.

The school has an ICT team of researchers made up of teachers from each section of the school and representatives of the various Departments. Its purpose is to research new uses of ICT resources and design custom-made software according to teacher and syllabus demand both for the computer labs and for whole-class activities on the interactive whiteboards in the classroom.

The whole school organisation works through a purpose-designed intranet system called Prometeo which manages all the data on each pupil, and which gives quick and efficient access to this for the school administration, teachers and other staff.
